The Appraisal Process

The item will be cleaned, inspected and checked for any needed repairs.

A detailed description of the mounting, and metal content will be noted as well as any other important information.

A thorough and detailed description of your gemstones will be documented. Diamonds and colored gemstones will be measured for weight, graded for color, clarity, and make, and any important characteristics will be noted. If you have a diamond grading report from a laboratory such as GIA, AGS, etc you might want to bring it with you to your appointment so that I may verify the information on the report. I am, however, happy to perform my own analysis first and then present my findings to you.

I will document the appropriate value of your items and you will leave with two copies of your appraisal. A digital photograph will be taken of each item and will be included in your appraisal. Your jewelry never leaves your sight.

I will be pleased to answer any questions that you may have regarding your jewelry during your appointment. My goal is to educate and explain any jewelry related topic that concerns you at that time.

I hope you choose Accredited Gem Appraisers for your jewelry appraisal needs. I look forward to seeing you soon!
